What to Expect
Reporting to the GFNV Workplace Leader, the Workplace Process Development Specialist owns the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the processes that run the Workplace department at Gigafactory Nevada. Rather than specializing in a single program, this role operates as a roving, cross-functional generalist - embedding into multiple Workplace programs simultaneously to map workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and build scalable systems that allow each program to grow without a proportional increase in headcount or overhead. Using Lean methodologies and the most effective tools available, the Development Specialist transforms ad-hoc, manual workflows into repeatable, data-capturing systems that automate routine tasks and enable Program Owners and Managers to make data-driven decisions about budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and expansion. Success is measured by the scalability, expandability, and efficiency of the processes created and the quality of the data they produce.
What You'll Do
- Map Workplace business processes end-to-end and apply Lean methodologies to redesign them for scalability, expandability, and efficiency
- Standardize, document, and maintain SOPs and work instructions so processes are repeatable, transferable, and easy to scale across sites
- Build data-capturing systems that automate routine tasks and surface the data Program Managers need, using the most effective tools available (no-code platforms, AI, Microsoft tools, etc.)
- Support multiple Workplace programs simultaneously as a roving generalist, shifting focus to where process needs are greatest
- Partner with Program Owners, Project Managers, and onsite Workplace Operations teams to deploy new processes and drive adoption
- Build and maintain financial forecasting, spend-tracking, and inventory management processes that support budgeting and expansion decisions
- Define and track KPIs that improve the employee experience and inform data-driven decisions across Workplace programs
What You'll Bring
- Degree in business, project management, or engineering or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of progressive experience in process improvement, program/project management, or operations
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and continuously improving business processes using Lean or comparable methodologies
- Proven ability to build systems that capture data and automate manual tasks, leveraging whatever mechanisms fit best (no-code platforms, AI tools, etc.)
- Experience with financial forecasting, inventory management, or procurement
- Highly proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; able to work evenings and weekends as necessary; evidence of exceptional ability
