Excelligence Learning Corporation Gardner, Kansas | Full-Time | On-Site The Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Business Analyst supports and improves the warehouse technology and processes that drive our distribution operations. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on WMS experience with a strong understanding of how a warehouse or distribution center operates. We are looking for someone who has worked directly with warehouse management systems and understands the day-to-day operational processes behind receiving, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and order fulfillment. Experience with our specific systems is not required. Candidates with experience using or supporting platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Korber/HighJump, Oracle WMS, CORS, InfoShip, or similar WMS platforms are encouraged to apply. The WMS Business Analyst partners closely with Distribution Operations, IT, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and third-party vendors to identify operational challenges, improve workflows, support system enhancements, and ensure warehouse technology effectively supports the business. This position is based full-time on-site at our Gardner, Kansas distribution facility. Essential Responsibilities Warehouse Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Partner directly with warehouse and distribution center leadership to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze warehouse processes including receiving, put-away, replenishment, inventory control, order allocation, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and customer service through better processes and use of warehouse technology.
- Review operational metrics, system performance, and workflow data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives involving warehouse processes and systems.
- Develop recommendations for system enhancements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
WMS Support & Business Solutions
- Support the Company's warehouse management applications, including CORS and InfoShip.
- Apply previous WMS experience to learn and support Excelligence's warehouse applications and processes.
- Work with warehouse users to evaluate business requirements and determine appropriate system and process solutions.
- Support, configure, test, and improve warehouse system workflows across receiving, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
- Recommend changes to system functionality and operational workflows based on business needs.
- Coordinate testing and validation of new system functionality, software upgrades, and process enhancements.
- Troubleshoot system and process issues in partnership with Distribution Operations, IT, and software vendors.
- Maintain system and process documentation.
Projects & Implementations
- Participate in and, when appropriate, lead WMS enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and warehouse process improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between Distribution Operations, IT, software vendors, and other business stakeholders.
- Gather and document business requirements and translate warehouse operational needs into system requirements.
- Coordinate testing activities, implementation timelines, user acceptance testing, and rollout of new functionality.
- Support adoption of new processes and technology across warehouse operations.
Business Partnership
- Work closely with warehouse supervisors, managers, and associates to understand how systems are being used on the warehouse floor.
- Provide functional knowledge of warehouse management systems and warehouse operational processes.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Inventory Control, Transportation, and IT to resolve issues and improve workflows.
- Partner with software vendors and implementation providers on system enhancements and issue resolution.
- Help bridge the gap between warehouse operations and technology by translating operational needs into practical system solutions.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Review warehouse performance data, reports, dashboards, and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Use Excel and business reporting tools to analyze operational performance and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor key warehouse metrics and assist leadership in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Validate data integrity between warehouse management systems and other business applications.
- Use SQL as needed to support data analysis and troubleshooting; working knowledge of SQL is preferred but not required.
Documentation & Training
- Maintain WMS documentation, process standards, and operating procedures.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures supporting warehouse technology and processes.
- Provide guidance and training to supervisors, managers, and system users regarding new functionality and best practices.
- Help promote consistent and effective utilization of warehouse systems across operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with or supporting Warehouse Management Systems in a warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or similar operational environment.
- Direct experience working within or closely supporting warehouse/distribution center operations.
- Hands-on experience using, supporting, configuring, or optimizing WMS applications such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Korber/HighJump, Oracle WMS, CORS, InfoShip, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, replenishment, picking, packing, order fulfillment, transportation, and shipping.
- Ability to understand warehouse operational challenges and translate them into practical process or system improvements.
- Experience troubleshooting WMS or warehouse process issues and working with Operations and/or IT to resolve them.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with operational data, reports, and business reporting tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with warehouse associates, operational leadership, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Gardner, Kansas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience participating in or leading a WMS implementation, upgrade, or major system enhancement.
- Experience with ERP, EDI, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or warehouse automation technologies.
- Experience working with software vendors or third-party implementation partners.
- Experience supporting high-volume distribution or fulfillment operations.
- Experience supporting multiple distribution facilities.
- Project Management, Lean, or Six Sigma experience or certification.
