Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description
Position Summary The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic to assist with the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of building systems and equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of University facilities. This position performs skilled work involving plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and general building maintenance systems. This person responds to service requests, performs preventative and corrective maintenance, supports renovation and repair projects, and assists in maintaining facility infrastructure in compliance with applicable safety standards, codes, and University requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Building Systems Maintenance and Repair (40%) * Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems and infrastructure. 2. Installation, Construction, and Equipment Modifications (20%) * Install, modify, and repair plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and related building systems. 3. Inventory, Procurement, and Administrative Support (15%) * Identify replacement parts and materials required for maintenance and repair activities. 4. HVAC and Refrigeration Systems (10%) * Repair and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment ranging from single-room units to complete building systems. 5. Safety, Tools, and Worksite Management (10%) * Safely operate, maintain, and store tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance operations. 6. Other Duties (5%) * Perform additional duties as assigned by Athletics administration. Shift
