**Impactful Opportunity for a UX/UI Designer**

Step into a pivotal role where your design expertise will directly shape the customer journey for both consumer and professional-facing web sites and applications. As a UX/UI Designer, you will be instrumental in transforming complex challenges into elegant, intuitive, and efficient design solutions. You will champion user needs, contribute to a robust design system, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative digital products that resonate deeply with users. BASIC FUNCTION

Under the direction of Manager - UX/UI Design, the UX/UI Designer is responsible for solving customer experience pain points through great design for consumer and professional-facing web sites and web applications. You will combine your knowledge and passion for efficient design flows and experiences that are simple and intuitive in support of business and user goals. You will utilize design thinking and user-centric methodologies, along with the Kohler Design System and accessibility compliance in the delivery of holistic designs and prototypes. The role leverages UX research and journey mapping to understand the customer and optimize touchpoints across the customer journey. The role also leverages and contributes to best practices for in our discipline.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



  • UX/UI Design: Create designs for user scenarios, process flows, annotated wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts for assigned projects, per Kohler design delivery standards. Multi-task across different projects and adapt to changing priorities. Collaborate with Design Team, Product Managers, Platform Design System team and Business Stakeholders.
  • UX Research Gather and understand information about user needs from stakeholder interviews, functional and non-functional specifications, usability studies, surveys and more. Conduct benchmarking and requirements gathering; utilize data to inform decision-making.
  • Design System: Become an expert in the Kohler Design System. Leverage and extend the use of established design system, style guides, patterns and assets in the creation of UX deliverables. Contribute to the care and keeping of the Design System by practicing Kohler design delivery standards. Collaborate with the Kohler platform team to solve for design system requirements.
  • Production Design Support: Support UX/UI Design leads to complete design delivery per critical project deadlines. Support the development and execution of A/B testing across the site in partnership with the Testing Digital Product Owner.
  • GENERAL: Create and deliver UX/UI research and design (per assignments) in support of KBA digital products and projects using Figma, Miro, UserTesting and Journey Track. Support the upkeep of the Kohler Design System. Contribute to the Design team's evolution and impact for Kohler Company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in a Design-related discipline (e.g. digital product design, graphic design, visual design, service design, interaction design, human factors, information architecture, etc.).
  • 1-3 years of experience. Experience in eCommerce or digital product design a plus.
  • Understanding of UX methodologies, including UX research methods.
  • Conceptual thinking skills, a mobile-first, AI future-ready mindset.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A self-starter with a learner's mindset and the ability to work independently and follow direction, build relationships, establish trust, collaborate and execute effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Figma Design and robust Design Systems. Understanding of with research methods and accessibility standards.


PORTFOLIO



  • A portfolio demonstrating your attention to detail and UX/UI design acumen: Design rationale, research and responsive digital environments preferred.

Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
