Description Job Title: Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic Reports To: Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Facility Maintenance Location: Ardmore, Oklahoma POSITION SUMMARY The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on ground service equipment used to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. This position inspects, tests, operates, services, maintains, repairs, and replaces components on GSE equipment to ensure serviceability and safe operation. The role diagnoses mechanical and electronic malfunctions using technical publications, test equipment, and visual and auditory inspection methods and supports equipment readiness, storage, and deployment. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and respond effectively to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER SKILLS Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet software, email, and Management Information System for Aviation (MISA) software. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
