As a Security Officer Access Control in Edison, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and/or visitor credentials, and support screening processes while remaining visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication, working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, trailers, yards, and buildings.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting security-related conditions that may need attention.
• Support daily site operations by maintaining accurate visitor and vehicle logs, communicating clearly with site personnel, and following post orders related to access control and traffic flow.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
