Pay Rate: $21.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site procedures, including observing for prohibited items, trespassing, and/or policy violations.
• Support a professional armed presence at the location while following post orders, maintaining situational awareness, and assisting with security-related needs as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
