From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an Operator I -Sassaros based in Nampa, ID. The Operator I-Sassaros is responsible for monitoring the whey drainage system during the mozzarella cheese production to ensure proper flow and prevent overflow conditions. This position maintains cleanliness of the drainage equipment by regularly hosing down the system to prevent cheese buildup and ensure efficient operation. The role supports production by helping maintain product flow, food safety, and equipment cleanliness. Will be operating and monitoring production equipment, maintaining food safety and quality standards, following GMPs and HACCP procedures, conducting equipment inspections, and ensuring efficient production flow. Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments while meeting production targets, quality requirements, and workplace safety standards. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: . Monitor whey drainage equipment during production. . Hose down drains and screens to prevent cheese buildup. . Ensure proper whey flow and prevent overflow situations. . Maintain a clean and sanitary work area. . Report equipment issues or drainage concerns to supervisors. . Follow all food safety, GMP, and safety procedures. . Support smooth production operations through routine monitoring Requirements From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education * High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience * Previous experience working in manufacturing or food industry preferred. Skills / Abilities . Attention to detail. . Ability to monitor equipment and processes. . Basic problem identification and reporting. . Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures. . Dependable and reliable. . Strong communication skills. . Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 10-12-hour shift. . Manual dexterity to operate machinery controls . Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. . Capability to work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and wet environments common in cheese production. . Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnets, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
