Job Responsibilities & Requirements POSITION SUMMARY Set up and operate steel slitting equipment to process master coil material into slit ribbons according to customer specifications. Responsible for material handling, equipment setup, quality inspections, inventory transactions, production reporting, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. One to three years of manufacturing, steel processing, slitting, material handling, or related industrial experience preferred. Language Skills: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence, and effectively present information one-on-one to customers and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required, including the ability to utilize scanners, production reporting systems, inventory systems, and email applications. Certificates & Licenses Forklift Certified, Crane Certified. Other Skills and Abilities: Read a tape measure, micrometers, calipers, galvometers, and other measuring devices as required. Experience operating steel slitting lines, decoilers, recoilers, fork trucks, overhead cranes, and related material handling equipment preferred. MiTek Perks:
