The Associate Director of Financial Aid oversees the Financial Aid operations at a Herzing University's Dallas campus and supports the University's mission through administration of financial aid funding for students. This individual works directly with students, providing counseling and assistance on all aspects of the financial aid process. The Associate Director also serves as a leader on campus and within the Financial Aid function at Herzing University. The Associate Director supports new and active students through effective counseling with intentional focus on financial wellness.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years equivalent work experience required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 Years of Title IV experience required.


Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan. The salary range for this position is $62,853 to $85,037.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop plans to ensure consistent achievement of established KPI's within new student enrollment, collections, and student satisfaction at campus location.
  • Partner together with Admissions leadership, as an enrollment team, in achieving new student start goals and ensuring a positive student experience.
  • Partner with Student Affairs leadership to support ongoing student retention efforts on campus.
  • Meet with new students to understand funding needs, provide guidance on completion of the FAFSA and required documents, and review eligibility for funding options including Federal Title IV funds, scholarships, state funding, and military funds.
  • Utilize financial aid software to review student documents and eligibility criteria to finalize financial aid awards.
  • Provide gap funding options to students, and support students in determining the best option to meet their financial needs and support their educational goals.
  • Counsel students on financial literacy and wellness topics for the purpose of educating and encouraging responsible borrowing practices.
  • Manage a student caseload, striving to build relationships and support students in resolving all matters related to their financial aid funding.
  • Perform regular outreach to students requiring action including needed documents, loan acceptance, and past due balances.
  • Effectively resolve student escalations if they arise.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement especially in the areas of student satisfaction, student financial literacy and wellness, process efficiency, and accuracy of work.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that is inclusive of all individuals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time.
