MaineHealth Primary Care - Family Medicine - Portland is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Associate (PA) to join our Family Medicine team in Portland, Maine.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, patient-centered practice dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care for patients across all stages of life. Working alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff, you will help deliver high-quality care in an environment that values teamwork, continuity, and professional growth.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building long-term relationships with patients and families while providing evidence-based preventive, acute, and chronic disease management services. Providers are supported by an integrated health system and a strong network of specialists, allowing them to practice at the top of their license while maintaining a focus on whole-person care.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services including preventive care, health maintenance, acute illness evaluation, and chronic disease management
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, care managers, and specialists to coordinate patient care
• Promote evidence-based practices and quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in practice and organizational quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate program
• Current or eligible licensure in the State of Maine
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate
• Experience in family medicine or primary care preferred, new grads considered
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-based care skills
