Job Purpose

The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with stakeholders across the organization to collect, validate, analyze, and communicate safety-related information. This role supports data-driven decision making by ensuring the integrity of safety data, identifying trends, improving reporting capabilities, and contributing to programs that enhance employee safety and reduce risk.

Key Accountabilities
  • Maintain injury and illness records in compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting of safety metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinate the daily collection, review, and entry of incident data into the U.S. Incident Management System (IMS).
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs designed to reduce serious injuries and improve overall safety performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for incident data classification, reporting requirements, and IMS functionality.
  • Assist in conducting audits, reviews, and training activities to promote data quality, reporting accuracy, and process consistency.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across Safety, Operations, Human Resources, Workers' Compensation, and other business functions.
  • Reconcile and validate information across multiple systems, including Workers' Compensation, IMS, and contractor incident reporting platforms.
  • Analyze safety performance data to identify trends, root causes, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that support leadership decision making and regulatory compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety programs, reporting processes, and organizational safety culture.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in safety data management
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • High standards of professionalism, ethics, and accountability.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, including 29 CFR 1904 recordkeeping requirements.
  • Experience in utility safety, industrial safety, environmental health and safety (EHS), or a related field.
  • Experience working with incident management, safety reporting, or compliance systems.
  • Data analysis, visualization, and reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience identifying performance trends and translating data into actionable recommendations.

Salary: $96,000.00 - $112,000.00 USD annually
