Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  • Experience in foundry operations, aluminum melting, metal casting, or industrial manufacturing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of aluminum melting furnaces and safe molten metal handling preferred.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification and safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds with assistance when needed.
  • Capable of standing, bending, squatting, and working in a physically demanding environment for extended periods.


Responsibilities



  • Melt and pour aluminum into sand molds using safe and efficient pouring techniques.
  • Operate tilt, pit, and dip-out gas-fired furnaces while maintaining proper melt temperatures.
  • Inspect and maintain furnace crucibles, ladles, and related equipment.
  • Monitor scrap-to-ingot ratios and maintain accurate production and heat records.
  • Apply mold weights prior to pouring and ensure quality casting standards are met.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, overhead cranes, and material handling equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Participate in training programs and work overtime as needed.
