Description and Requirements

Motorola Mobility is seeking a dynamic and results-drivenSales and Business development and SMB lead for North America. Build and scale new revenue streams by developing SMB, distribution, retail, and strategic channel partnerships across North America. This leader will identify new routes to market, expand existing partnerships, and accelerate growth across smartphones, tablets, and accessories while helping diversify the business beyond traditional carrier channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Generation:

  • Develop and execute the North America SMB growth strategy across existing and emerging channels. Identify, recruit, and scale strategic channel partners, including distributors, retailers, e-commerce, and indirect sales partners.
  • Expand revenue with key partners including distribution, retail, and marketplace channels.
  • Partner with carrier sales teams to help drive incremental postpaid growth opportunities through new distribution pathways.
  • Develop alternative routes to market, including airport retail, travel retail, and other emerging channel opportunities.
  • Build and maintain an executive-level pipeline of strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Lead partner negotiations, business case development, onboarding, and go-to-market execution.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and sales teams to bring new channel opportunities to market.
  • Drive growth across smartphones, tablets, and accessories.

Account Planning:

  • Own business planning, forecasting, revenue growth, and profitability for assigned channels.
  • Drive share gain and revenue growth through promotions, launches, and in-market execution.
  • Manage pricing and promotions for all Motorola product.
  • Lead cross-functional internal and Channel alignment to advance strategic priorities and ensure disciplined execution across key business initiatives.

Performance Metrics:

  • Partner acquisition ("new doors opened")
  • Share growth.
  • Revenue performance versus plan.
  • Sell-through performance on key SKUs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial operator with proven execution capability.
  • Data-driven, accountable, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
  • Proven business development executive with a strong hunter mentality.
  • Demonstrated success opening new channels, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Experience with SMB, distribution, retail, indirect channels, or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with prior P&L ownership.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build businesses from the ground up.
  • Highly driven, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • Strong presence and negotiation skills.
