Location Requirement


  • Submit local candidates only to the Bay Area/work location.



  • This is a hybrid assignment requiring onsite presence in Oakland, CA, twice per month and attendance at relevant business meetings as needed.



  • A company-issued laptop will be provided. Any additional equipment requirements (such as monitors) will be coordinated by the supplier.

Position Overview

This role is critical to creating exceptional customer experiences and supporting strategic customer engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will divide their time between developing communication strategies, creating customer-facing materials, and supporting customer care and field outreach initiatives.

The position will lead internal employee communications, develop programs that increase employee awareness and engagement, and create external communication support for customer experience initiatives. The role will also focus on improving customer communications related to billing modernization efforts and field outreach programs.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product and program managers, customer experience teams, contact centers, and external marketing and advertising agencies to deliver high-quality communications that support business objectives and enhance the customer experience.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute communication and content strategies across multiple channels.



  • Create customer-facing communications and supporting materials.



  • Lead internal communication initiatives and employee engagement programs.



  • Support customer experience strategic initiatives through targeted communication plans.



  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement communication programs aligned with business goals.



  • Collaborate with external agencies to deliver effective marketing and communication campaigns.



  • Utilize customer research and insights to shape communication strategies and improve engagement.



  • Support initiatives related to billing modernization and field outreach communications.




Required Qualifications


  • 5-7 years of experience in a creative marketing, communications, or related role within a corporate environment and/or advertising or creative agency.



  • Proven experience executing multi-channel marketing communication campaigns.



  • Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative consumer research to inform communication strategies.



  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects of moderate to high complexity.



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.



  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders, internal stakeholders, and external partners.



  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.



  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.




Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as utilities, energy, healthcare, financial services, or similar environments.



  • Experience supporting customer experience, customer care, or customer communication initiatives.
