How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote/on-site days per week.

HOURS: Primarily Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with other hours as needed.

Carilion Clinic's Institute for Leadership Effectiveness is seeking an experienced leadership facilitator (coaching skills also preferred) to support people leaders through leadership, and team coaching, consulting, and facilitation.
  • Serve as a leadership coach and consultant to Director and Manager level leaders.
  • Participate in creation of custom and proactive leadership development training, facilitation, and programs to enhance professional effectiveness, competence, capability, and agility.
  • Facilitate and/or redesign existing leadership onboarding and effectiveness content and processes.
  • Follow International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics and individual/team coaching competencies. Develop structured coaching and consulting engagements with clients that include measurable goals.
  • Continuously develop advanced knowledge in leadership development, team dynamics and business outcomes, as well as maintain a thorough working knowledge of other HR areas, HR initiatives and broader organizational priorities.
  • Possess understanding of leadership and business needs to assist in effectively understanding and communicating broader organizational strategies.
  • Able to document within realms of confidentiality, outcomes of coaching and consulting engagements within a structured system.
  • Use expert knowledge to anticipate needs of clients and proactively create leadership development content/solutions to meet those needs. Understand and align with overall organizational goals and objectives; continuously seek ways to improve processes and develop creative solutions.
  • Partner with other coaches (internal and external) to help clients achieve leadership effectiveness goals.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Five (5) years of HR/related experience with at least three years in specialized area

required. Maintains a broad knowledge of leadership development areas and activities, while specializing with advanced knowledge in one or two specific HR functions.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Coaching Certification or accreditation preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Lawson knowledge preferred. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Coaching certification through an International Coaching Federation approved program
  • ICF Credential (ACC, PCC) preferred
  • Advanced Degree or Credential preferred
  • Healthcare leadership or leadership coaching experience preferred
  • Previous leadership and people management experience

What We Require:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 3 years of general HR related experience required. Completion of a master's degree in a related field with demonstrated relevant experience may substitute for experience requirement.

Compensation Range:

$53,601.60 - $80,412.80

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
