Job Summary

We're seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy and roadmap execution for solutions focused on Records Request Management and FOIA. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned product leader who understands the complexity of serving federal customers and is passionate about delivering secure, compliant, and intuitive software that improves transparency, efficiency, and public trust.

You'll own product direction from discovery through delivery, partnering closely with engineering, design, go-to-market, implementation, support, and customer-facing teams to build capabilities that meet the needs of federal agencies and other public sector organizations. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in workflow-driven SaaS products, records request or case management, and navigating security and compliance requirements such as FedRAMP and CJIS.

Essential Function

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    Own Product Strategy: Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Records Request Management and FOIA solutions, aligning market opportunities, customer needs, and company goals.
  • Lead AI Product Strategy: Define and prioritize AI-enabled capabilities across Records Request Management and FOIA workflows, including intelligent document discovery, automated redaction, content classification, workflow optimization and citizen self-service experiences.
  • Lead Discovery and Prioritization: Gather and synthesize customer, partner, regulatory, and market input to prioritize investments across intake, review, redaction, workflow automation, reporting, and fulfillment.
  • Drive Federal Market Readiness: Shape product capabilities to support federal agency requirements, including secure workflows, auditability, permissions, retention considerations, and deployment expectations for regulated environments.
  • Champion Secure and Compliant Design: Partner with engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders to ensure product decisions support frameworks and controls relevant to federal customers, including FedRAMP and CJIS-aligned environments.
  • Ensure Responsible AI Governance: Partner with Security, Compliance, Legal and Engineering teams to ensure AI-enabled capabilities are developed and deployed in accordance with regulatory, privacy, security, transparency and public sector governance requirements.
  • AI-Enhanced Product Management: Demonstrated ability to utilise AI-powered tools and data-driven approaches to accelerate market analysis, customer research, requirements definition, prioritisation and roadmap planning.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally and Guide Product Teams: Work closely with Engineering, Design, Implementation, Support, Customer Success, Sales, and leadership to guide product teams, translate requirements into scalable delivery, and shape AI-informed product capabilities that improve operational outcomes in regulated environments.
  • Translate Complex Policy into Product: Turn federal records access, FOIA process needs, and operational pain points into clear requirements, user stories, and measurable product outcomes.
  • Influence Product Adoption, Growth, and Market Expansion: Support strategic customer conversations, market positioning, expansion into new public sector and federal segments, and internal alignment by clearly articulating product value, roadmap direction, and differentiation.


You Will Love This Job If You Have

Experience/Credentials:

  • Experience: 10+ years in product management with a strong track record of owning strategy, roadmap, and execution for complex SaaS or workflow-driven products. 7+ years on experience in Records Request Management.
  • Federal Domain Expertise: Experience building products for the federal government or highly regulated public sector environments, with a strong understanding of procurement, compliance, and customer operating realities.
  • Records Request / FOIA Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with Records Request Management, FOIA, case management, document review, redaction workflows, or adjacent public records processes.
  • Security and Compliance Acumen: Familiarity with secure cloud and public sector compliance requirements, including FedRAMP and CJIS, and experience partnering with technical and compliance teams to support regulated product delivery.
  • Execution Excellence: Strong ability to translate ambiguity into structured plans, balance competing priorities, and deliver measurable outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Communication and Influence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence engineering, design, executives, and customer stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Customer-Centered Product and AI Leadership: Proven experience defining, launching or scaling AI-enabled products or capabilities. Ability to identify high-value AI use cases, evaluate emerging AI technologies, establish success measures and drive adoption while balancing customer value, compliance and operational risk.
  • AI and Emerging Technology Expertise: Strong understanding of generative AI, intelligent automation, machine learning applications and AI governance principles, with the ability to translate emerging capabilities into practical product outcomes for public sector customers.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Bonus: Experience with federal SaaS platforms, public records or disclosure workflows, records retention concepts, digital evidence or justice-related systems, launching products in FedRAMP or CJIS-sensitive environments, and driving market expansion into new government segments is strongly preferred.


Pay Range

USD $166,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
