Description

The Technology Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics (TCGB) provides next-generation sequencing (NGS) and data analysis services to more than 300 UCLA investigators. Due to the rapidly increasing demand for single-cell and other advanced NGS library construction workflows, TCGB seeks an experienced SRA3 to support and expand these critical services.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, and must be familiar with a wide range of molecular biology skills, including DNA and RNA extraction, reverse transcription, in vitro transcription, PCR, RT-PCR, QRT-PCR, NGS library construction, and Bead Array. The hands-on experience in NGS core lab is strongly preferred. The SRA3 incumbent will lead other laboratory personnel, such as SRA1 and SRA2, in pre-analytical and post analytical activities, including accessing and processing of primary specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, troubleshooting, and executing ongoing laboratory bio-safety and maintenance duties.
