Req#:669389 Sr. Programmer Analyst-Productivity & Automation Monday-Friday (8:30-5) Hybrid/Remote In the office 1-2 days a month on a regular basis. Additional days weekends, Go Lives and Special Projects. Johns Hopkins 750 E. Pratt Street, 5th Floor Baltimore, MD 21202 General Position Summary: Supporting the Hopkins organization's AI Productivity and Automation Team. These roles focus on enabling safe, effective, and scalable use of artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted development and automation to improve clinical, operational, and administrative workflows.
All staff are expected to support enterprise initiatives involving tools such as:
- Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude)
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Other approved AI agents and AI-assisted development/workflow automation
All activities must align with organizational policies related to data privacy, security, compliance, and responsible AI use. Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate commitment to responsible AI use, including adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders to identify opportunities for workflow optimization and automation
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, appropriateness, and risk
- Participate in continuous learning related to AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging technologies
- Contribute to improvements in efficiency, quality, user experience, or operational effectiveness through AI-enabled solutions
AI-Enabled Workflow Analysis and Development
- Analyze current workflows to identify automation and AI optimization opportunities
- Document AI-enhanced workflows and business process changes
- Configure and maintain AI agent platforms and automation tools
- Develop reusable AI-driven workflows and prompt frameworks
- Design, develop, and implement AI-enabled applications and integrations
- Support integration with enterprise AI platforms and services
Automation & Integration
- Build scalable automation solutions using both AI-assisted and traditional development approaches
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems, workflows, and data pipelines
Prompt Engineering & Optimization
- Design, test, and optimize prompts and AI workflows for enterprise use
- Collaborate with analysts and trainers to operationalize AI capabilities
Security & Compliance
- Ensure all AI solutions comply with organizational standards for data security and privacy
- Implement safeguards for responsible AI use in solution design
Validation & Performance Monitoring
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
User Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide support for AI-enabled workflows and tools
- Collect user feedback and refine solutions to improve usability and outcomes
Additional Qualifications
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and productivity platforms
- Experience with or aptitude for AI agent platforms and automation tools
- Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and identify risks
- Strong analytical, documentation, and workflow mapping skills
Required Education: Two years college course work or trade school required. Additional experience may be substituted for education. Required Experience: Three years of related work experience with computer systems and applications. Preferred Job Qualifications: Knowledge in the assigned application as well as the platform on which it runs.

Salary Range: Minimum $27.51/visit - Maximum $48.14/visit. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
