Req#:670462 Systems Development Manager-AI Prodictivity & Automation Monday-Friday (8:30-5) Hybrid/Remote In the office 1-2 days a month on a regular basis. Additional days weekends, Go Lives and Special Projects. Johns Hopkins 750 E. Pratt St., 5th Floor Baltimore, MD 21202 These roles focus on enabling safe, effective, and scalable use of artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted development and automation to improve clinical, operational, and administrative workflows. All staff are expected to support enterprise initiatives involving tools such as:
- Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude)
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Other approved AI agents and AI-assisted development/workflow automation
All activities must align with organizational policies related to data privacy, security, compliance, and responsible AI use.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to responsible AI use, including adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders to identify opportunities for workflow optimization and automation
- Apply critical thinking to evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, appropriateness, and risk
- Participate in continuous learning related to AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging technologies
- Contribute to improvements in efficiency, quality, user experience, or operational effectiveness through AI-enabled solutions

- Additional Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Governance
- Ensure solutions are operating withing AI governance frameworks for safe and compliant AI usage, including privacy and data protection considerations
- Partner with security, compliance, and data stakeholders to ensure adherence to organizational standards
Portfolio & Use Case Management
- Identify, prioritize, and oversee a portfolio of AI and automation use cases
- Establish intake, evaluation, and prioritization processes for AI initiatives
Adoption & Change Management
- Lead enterprise adoption of AI tools and AI-assisted development/agent platforms
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support integration into daily workflows
- Monitor adoption metrics, user satisfaction, and productivity outcomes
Vendor & Technology Management
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and vendors for enterprise use
- Manage vendor relationships and tool selection for AI capabilities
Additional Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise technology adoption initiatives
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, including generative AI capabilities and limitations
- Knowledge of AI governance, risk management, and ethical considerations
- Experience with AI agent platforms and automation tools
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into operational execution
Required Job Qualifications:
Education: Baccalaureate degree, in computer science, business or clinical related field or equivalent work experience. Professional certification(s) and/or related experience beyond minimum training experience qualifications may substitute for formal education requirement on a two years' experience-for-one year education basis.
Certifications: May be required to complete and pass certification in assigned Epic application module(s) within 120 days of employment in this role.

Advanced interpersonal skills to effectively interface with department heads, University, Hospital and Health System personnel, vendors, consultants, etc.
Leadership (includes training and mentoring)
Participates in formal project teams that have JHM wide impact. These include but are not limited to the applications which this manager supports. Provide active, vocal feedback to those groups so that appropriate JHM decisions can be made without revisiting the issues. Network with other system users outside of JHM in appropriate forums (Vendor user groups, WEDI, etc.) to gain knowledge of how specific issues, concerns and problems are handled in other organizations.
Salary Range: Minimum 54.35/hour - Maximum 95.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
