The
Wealth Planning & Investment Analyst is responsible for planning, and client service support to the Managing Director of Wealth Management in delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies for ultra high net worth clients. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing client data, preparing financial plans and investment-related materials, and supporting the overall activities of the team. The Wealth Planning & Investment Analyst is typically assessed on their ability to master the tools, technology, and planning processes used to service clients, as well as their demonstrated proficiency in Nicolet's financial planning and investment approach, including software applications, methodology, and presentation standards. This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, proposals, and client-ready presentations and requires consistent use of discretion, independent judgment, and specialized knowledge in financial planning and investment advisory services.
As a POSITION, you will:
Analytical
- Work closely with Managing Director, Wealth Advisors, and Trust Administrative Officers to help maintain appropriate investment strategies and asset allocations for client portfolios based on individual client circumstances, objectives, and risk tolerance.
- Work with Managing Director to assist in preparing paperwork and documents for client meetings.
- May attend client meetings and prepare summary of notes from meetings.
- Analyze client information and prepares reports and presentations.
- Enter client data into financial planning software and prepares draft plans.
- Analyze asset allocation and assists in generating portfolio rebalancing trades.
- Research financial products and pricing and contacts carriers for information as needed.
- Research investment managers, investment services, and related pricing.
- Create custom spreadsheets to support analysis of purchase decisions or financial planning scenarios.
Client Service
- Provide back-up client service support, delivering exceptional customer service during every interaction.
- Interface with the broker-dealer or custodian to obtain information and data to convey service requests.
- Set up, run, and retrieve reports in the portfolio management system (e.g., Salesforce, Orion, Envestnet).
- Assist in generating client performance reports.
- Maintain internal client file accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
General
- Actively engage in teamwork and teambuilding and integrates into Nicolet's culture.
- Stay informed of market news, industry trends, and current legal and tax considerations related to investment decisions.
- Identify opportunities to refer business to other areas within the Bank, as appropriate.
- Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures.
- Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a related discipline such as Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Series 7 and 66 license preferred.
0 - 2 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Proficient in the use of a PC, phone systems, and general office equipment.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Working knowledge of investment and asset management strategies, products, and services.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to make sound decisions with limited direction while functioning effectively as a team player.
Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Resourceful and proactive in problem-solving.
Ability to effectively promote Nicolet as an employer of choice.
Strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of bank products to support building full financial relationships with clients.
Ability to learn and adapt to new software applications and technology platforms.
