Our Defense team in Salt Lake City, UT is eagerly looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting production operations through manufacturing process development, tooling and equipment support, production layout optimization, ergonomics, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with Value Stream Managers to align manufacturing engineering priorities with production goals and operational needs and partners with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance while ensuring manufacturing systems remain efficient, reliable, and scalable.

This is an on-site, collaborative working environment that offers a 9/80 schedule to include every other Friday off! (Formal schedule is M-Th, 7am-4pm, every other F 7am-3pm)

As our Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will add incredible value to the team by holding responsibility for:

  • Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, standardization, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner closely with Value Stream Managers and cross-functional teams to prioritize resources, resolve production challenges, and achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.

  • Drive execution of departmental goals by establishing clear expectations, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely completion of projects and deliverables within schedule and budget targets.

  • Provide oversight for the design, release, deployment, and lifecycle support of production tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.

  • Establish and maintain manufacturing engineering standards, processes, and documentation to ensure quality, consistency, maintainability, and operational readiness.

  • Ensure effective communication of project status, risks, constraints, and resource needs to support informed decision-making and successful implementation.

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, production flow, ergonomics, equipment support, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance and resource utilization.

  • Utilize production metrics and data-driven problem solving to identify opportunities, eliminate waste, and implement sustainable operational improvements.

To be considered for this Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading manufacturing engineering teams.

  • Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing engineering teams in a complex production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment support, Lean Manufacturing principles, process improvement, and value stream optimization.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and solve complex production and operational challenges.

  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $115,000.00-$145,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
