Security Officer - Entry Access

As a Security Officer Entry Access in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a cultural institution location where you will help monitor access points, verify entry permissions, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this access control role, you will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication while helping to reduce security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to manage access to staff, guests, contractors, and program participants.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Communicate with visitors, employees, and site leadership regarding entry procedures, restricted areas, and/or directions within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related issues, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
