What to Expect
The Legal Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the Tesla Legal Operations team and the broader global Legal team. This position is essential for driving efficiency and collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations for legal initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Promote and implement project management tools, best practices, and process improvements to streamline workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Administer and optimize legal systems, document management platforms, databases, and knowledge management resources to ensure accurate, compliant, and accessible legal information
- Manage legal document repositories and records, including document organization, retention, indexing, and governance in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
- Sort, organize, track, and route incoming legal mail, correspondence, and legal operations requests to the appropriate business units and stakeholders, including management of legal email tickets
- Support Legal Operations initiatives and cross-functional projects by researching and resolving invoicing tax errors, billing discrepancies, and system-related issues, while completing additional administrative, operational, and project-related tasks as assigned by leadership
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 2+ years of experience in legal operations, financial analysis, project coordination, project management, or professional services environments preferred. Legal industry experience is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including complex spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, data analysis, and presentation of business insights to stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate billing discrepancies, resolve invoicing issues, and develop practical process improvements
- Experience managing records, document repositories, databases, or enterprise systems, with a strong focus on data accuracy, organization, compliance, and operational efficiency
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, support training initiatives, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
