What You'll Do
- Develop and implement manufacturing test software for Optimus general assembly line
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams to develop test coverage, define metrics, align on firmware features and APIs for manufacturing testing software implementation
- Design and develop comprehensive manufacturing test software that may include connectivity tests, functional tests and system level self-test
- Develop software for automated manufacturing testers that may include PLC controllers and communications between PLC and testers
- Debug and root-causing issues related to manufacturing testing
- Develop and maintain scalable and reliable manufacturing testing software for high volume production, minimizing downtime, maintenance and deployment cost through tools such as cloud development
- Log, store and analyze test data to enable FA and design improvements
- Early engagement with cross functional development teams to drive DFT requirement
- Work with internal and external tester development partners on automation tester design and validation
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, similar degree, or equivalent experience
- Experience in high volume manufacturing testing of actuators, sensors, electronics or related electromechanical hardware
- Experience in hardware test framework such as OpenHTF, pytest, Robot Framework or similar
- Fluency in Python and JavaScript
- Experience in PLC controls and PLC - Tester communication and error handling
- Familiar with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS)
- Experience in working with Linux OS and Docker
- Familiarity with protocols such as CAN and EtherCAT
- Experience with databases for test data storage, such as SQL (e.g. MySQL,Microsoft SQL), NoSQL (e.g. Mongo DB, Elastic search) databases, and column-storedatabase (e.g. Click House) and good knowledge of query optimization
- Familiarity with data pipeline/data visualization tools such as Telegraf, Kafka, and Grafana
