Knight Boat Docks manufactures dock ramps, custom docks and custom fabricated aluminum parts. Our philosophy is to do the best job the first time. Knight Boat Docks offers the marina- grade Knight Dock, the river-ready Knight SK Marine Pontoon Dock, and is the distributor of the EZ Dock product line throughout the Pacific Northwest, Montana, Utah, Alaska, Hawaii, Northern California and Canada.

DEALER SALES MANAGER

The Dealer Sales Manager is responsible for developing, supporting, and growing the company's dealer network for boat docks and related waterfront products. This role focuses on building strong relationships with dealers, driving revenue growth, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring dealers have the tools and knowledge needed to successfully represent the company's products. This position is an individual contributor role and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Travel required (estimated 40% travel, 60% in office).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These duties are those typically performed in this position. Employee may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties.



  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase dealer sales, market penetration, and overall revenue.
  • Manage relationships with existing dealers and serve as the primary point of contact for sales-related needs.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new dealers in targeted markets.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits to strengthen relationships, provide product training, and support sales efforts.
  • Assist dealers with product selection, quoting, pricing, and project opportunities.
  • Collaborate with dealers to develop annual sales goals and business plans.
  • Monitor dealer performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare and negotiate sales agreements and pricing proposals within company guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including operations, production, engineering, and customer service to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for dealers and customers.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, dealer meetings, and industry events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support business growth.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports using CRM systems.
  • Resolve dealer concerns and facilitate solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Achieve established sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION

The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a dealer, distributor, manufacturing, marine, or construction-related environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain successful business relationships.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand product specifications and installation requirements.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning abilities.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate sales data and market opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territories.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Occasional walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting up to 8+ hours per day.
