General Job Description Position Overview IES Residential is seeking an experienced HVAC and Plumbing Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and team performance. We are looking for a highly organized, safety-focused leader who can ensure HVAC and plumbing materials, equipment, and tools are accurately received, stored, tracked, and distributed to support field operations. Key Responsibilities Manage daily warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and deliveries. Oversee the receiving, inspection, stocking, tracking, and distribution of HVAC and plumbing materials, tools, parts, and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure materials are available to support project schedules and field operations. Coordinate with office staff, purchasing teams, vendors, field personnel, and delivery drivers. Develop and maintain effective inventory-control procedures and warehouse standards. Lead, train, schedule, and support warehouse employees while promoting accountability and teamwork. Maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and documentation within company systems. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and warehouse procedures. Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize material loss. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and resource planning. Maintain a clean, safe, secure, and well-organized warehouse. Provide professional service and support to internal teams, vendors, and business partners. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 4-6 Specific Qualifications Qualifications Previous warehouse, inventory management, or operations leadership experience preferred. HVAC, plumbing, construction, or service-industry experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing materials, parts, tools, and equipment preferred. Strong leadership, team-management, and employee-development skills. Knowledge of inventory-control practices, warehouse operations, and safety procedures. Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities. Proficiency with inventory-management systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Professional, positive, and respectful demeanor when working with employees, customers, vendors, and business partners. English speaking, reading, and writing skills preferred and required when necessary to perform the position's duties. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings, including background and motor vehicle record checks. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Use warehouse equipment, tools, phones, tablets. Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing operational demands. Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require. Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites. Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions. Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment. Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology. Travel as required to support project and operational needs. Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.
