The Production Supervisorfor the Optimus program is responsible forclearly communicating the Safety, People, Quality, Rate and Cost goals and expectations of the department to the team, coach & mentor the production associates, motivating the team to reach higher and solve problems to achieve businessobjectives. The ideal candidate will not acceptthe statusquo and constantly look for ways toeliminatewaste and drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures.Theymust have a strong background inmanufacturing ramp-up with the ability to work cross functionally with engineering, quality,maintenance,andmanagement on a wide variety of issues and corrective actionsidentified. Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving skills are an absolute requirement toestablisheffective working relationships within Tesla. The successful candidate for this position is hands-on, a dynamic people leader who embraces change, passionate aboutmanufacturing, has strong analytical abilities, organization skills, attention to detail anddecision-makingability in an ambiguous environment. What You'll Do
- Manage a large team of Production Associates, ensuring daily goals are met and oversee new line ramp-up activities, optimizing processes and removing constraints to enable timely volume scaling
- Train associates tomanufacturing instructions and work with process engineering, quality, and production to improve processesand take a first principle approach
- Monitor the process SPCs, FPY rates and NCM, work with the cross functional team to understand the root cause, address quality issues and reduce scrap. Support issue resolution including root cause analysis & corrective action tracking
- Create a culture of safety and 5S, identify/remove safety hazards and implement corrective actions to address safety incidents
- Set goals, develop, coach and mentor the team members to help them reach their career goals and achieve the organizationalobjectives
- Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and supports no defects from leaving a station or team area
- Drive continuous improvement tooptimize processes and eliminate waste to achieve the performance metric targets
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a people leader, with a strong focus on team management and development
- In-depth knowledge of world-class production systems and expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Extensive experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and new product development and launch activities
- Skilled in managing teams in production environments, including hiring and mentoring new team members
- Proficient in using a broad range of measurement and inspection techniques to ensure production quality
- Ability to develop and analyze production performance metrics, including efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, and cost
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle pressure and manage competing demands effectively

Expected Compensation
$96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
