The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Psychologist to join our Youth Stress and Mood (YSAM) Program, a nationally recognized program dedicated to improving the mental and physical health of youth through the development and evaluation of treatments for depression, self-harm, and suicide prevention. Phd or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited institution
Current and valid California Psychologist License Training in psychopathology and psychotherapy, with a focus on depression, suicide, prevention, and self-harm intervention (experience is preferred) Experience providing assessment and treatment services to children and adolescents Experience working with youth experiencing depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and/or suicidal behaviors (preferred) Knowledge of clinical research methods, including data collection, data management, and research protocol implementation Ability to evaluate emotional, behavioral, and mental health conditions in children and adolescence and develop appropriate treatment recommendations Ability to provide evidence-based interventions and collaborate in developing treatment plans for youth and their families Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical and research team Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate clinical and research documentation Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on program and patient needs | |
