Volunteer Services Coordinator

Methodist Hospital is seeking a compassionate, relationship-focused Volunteer Coordinator to serve as the primary liaison between our organization, our volunteers, and the patients and communities we serve. This role is integral to the growth and success of our organization and plays a meaningful part in shaping the experiences patients have with us every day.

The ideal candidate is warm, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping people. They have a natural ability to engage and support volunteers, cultivate meaningful relationships, and create a welcoming environment where volunteers feel valued, connected, and inspired by our mission. This individual approaches situations with an assumption of good intentions, communicates openly and honestly, and can pivot quickly to meet changing organizational and volunteer needs.

The Volunteer Services Coordinator will:

• Assist with planning, organizing and implementing the volunteer program at Park Nicollet Health Services.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer Services program and department.
• Assist with recruitment, orienting and onboarding volunteers. Will nurture, support and coordinate volunteers.
• Foster a welcoming, engaging, and rewarding volunteer experience.
• Build strong relationships with volunteers, staff, patients, families, and community partners.
• Represent the organization in the community and promote volunteer involvement.
• Support staff as needed.

Work Schedule: FTE: 1.0, Day Shift, 9:00 am-5:30 pm

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health care and volunteer experience.
