Security Officer Full Time - Utility Company

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Identity Validation in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a utilities location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and document security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $18.30 - 19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-related records, including visitor logs, key or badge issuance, and incident documentation.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and support site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
