Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is accepting applications from third-year law students interested in joining the firm as an entry-level associate in the fall of 2027 in our Real Estate practice group. This position is open in the Chicago, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle offices.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Law Students: Applicants must be a third-year law student in good standing pursuing the degree of Juris Doctor at an ABA-accredited law school and must receive their J.D. prior to fall 2027.
  • Academic Achievement: A demonstrated record of academic achievement and excellent writing and interpersonal skills, as well as experience that will contribute to a successful career in the legal field.
  • The successful candidate will draft carefully and analytically, take responsibility for projects, be organized, and exercise and help with a wide range of fast-moving transactions and large portfolios. We value lawyers who think beyond discrete tasks to anticipate issues, structure solutions, and deliver thoughtful, precise work product. Candidates should be collaborative, responsive, and relationship driven, with a genuine interest in client service and team-based practice.

Our Real Estate practice represents national and global clients in complex acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, construction and development, real estate finance, and portfolio management across a wide range of asset classes. Our work focuses on core and emerging assets such as: office, industrial, retail, hospitality, real estate finance, CMBS work outs, development work for mixed use and emerging asset types (including an active and growing data center practice encompassing colocation transactions, hyperscaler leasing, and powered land acquisitions), as well as work on large, multi-site portfolios for some of the world's most well-known corporate and technology companies. We routinely work across offices and collaborate with colleagues nationwide to deliver coordinated, practical solutions at scale.

Compensation for this role in California, Illinois, and Washington State is $225,000 annually.
