In the role of Senior Human Resources Generalist, we'll count on you to:

  • Accomplish a variety of HR-related tasks with excellent customer service to support the full employee life cycle in the NC Area as needed
  • Ensure the fair and consistent application of HDR policies and procedures and address questions, including those of moderate complexity
  • In consultation with the Area HR Manager, handle general employee relations and performance management questions or issues - including creating performance improvement plans and coaching employees and supervisors
  • Coordinate requested compensation market studies with managers, Area HR Manager, and corporate HR
  • Utilize the HRIS to process personnel transactions, generate reports, and support HR operations
  • Understand basic HDR benefit plans, leaves, and ADA accommodations in order to assist employees - refer complex questions to Area HR Manager and corporate partners
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding and offboarding and oversee the completion of employee paperwork
  • Take initiative to work in collaboration with the Area HR Manager and NC Area HR team to maintain a positive team environment
  • Prepare, oversee, and manage Affirmative Action Plans for appropriate locations and identify and engage in outreach initiatives
  • Assist with the coordination of professional development training for staff
  • Focus on driving and supporting an inclusive work environment and assist with diversity, equity and inclusion functions and outreach initiatives.
  • Support the NC Area internship program
  • Work in partnership with recruiting and hiring managers to create and open requisitions
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to travel periodically including day and overnight trips
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and ability to work within a variety of different systems
  • Ability to work in-office 4-5 days per week; the location of this position is Charlotte, NC
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including proofreading, strong client service ability and excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
