Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday from 2pm - 11pm

We're seeking a Lab Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor equipment within an applications laboratory environment. In this role, you'll be responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, upgrades, and technical support activities that enable R&D projects, process development, prototype evaluations, and customer demonstrations.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on laboratory and semiconductor process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and upgrade equipment to maximize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Support Process Development, Hardware Engineering, and Software Engineering teams during R&D activities and customer demonstrations.
  • Install, configure, and support prototype equipment and engineering development systems.
  • Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to support laboratory operations.
  • Utilize hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electronic test instruments to perform maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support direct customer interactions and field-service-related technical activities when required.
  • Train Field Service Engineers, Engineering Technicians, Process Engineers, and Laboratory Service Engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Follow all cleanroom, laboratory, and safety requirements, including the use of required PPE and respiratory protection equipment.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience supporting semiconductor equipment, laboratory equipment, manufacturing equipment, or related technical systems.
  • 2+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, or equipment upgrades.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
  • 1+ years of experience using hand tools, electronic test equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; or
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent military training with 2+ years of related experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and technical work experience.

  • Semiconductor equipment experience.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
  • Experience supporting vacuum systems and vacuum leak checking.
  • Experience supporting prototype equipment and engineering development programs.
  • Cleanroom experience and familiarity with contamination control practices.
  • Ability to develop procedures and technical documentation in environments with limited existing documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience training engineers, technicians, or field service personnel.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Overtime: May be required based on laboratory schedules and business demands.
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 PM-11:00 PM (Swing Shift).
  • Work Environment: 100% onsite applications laboratory and cleanroom environment.
  • PPE Requirements: May require use of cleanroom garments, Air Purifying Respirators (APR), Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and other safety equipment.
