Byer Steel Rebar Bending Operator Cincinnati, OH Night Shift - 7 PM to 5:30 AM $18/hr to $19/hr + $1.50/hr Shift Differential JOB SUMMARY Responsible for bending of rebar to customer specifications, stacking and bundling finished material. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibility Bend pre-cut material to customer and job specifications ensuring all dimensional requirements have been met Essential Job Duties Ensure all safe practices are followed and look for continuous improvement Entering shape and dimensions of parts needed into the computer head Ensure all scanning has been completed for material processed Responsible for all material to be bundled and stacked properly according to order specifications Manufacture bends using stirrup machine Ensure all physical measurements are met before engaging in full production Other duties, but not limited to; forklift operation, overhead crane operation, and any assignments as per Rebar Fabrication Supervisor direction Qualifications and Experience Attention to detail Excellent writing skills Experience in manufacturing is a plus Physical and Mental Demands Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to bend, walk, twist, lift and turn Constant dominant hand activity Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to use hands and arms in handling, positioning and moving material Ability verbally Communicate Working Conditions PPE required Concrete flooring Artificial lighting Exposed to outside elements, building with an open door
