Microsoft AI Experiences, Copilot Engineering team is seeking skilled AI Platform Engineers to advance the next generation of capabilities for our personal AI, Copilot. This role involves building and operating the AI platform services that power Copilot-model serving, orchestration, retrieval, and the APIs that product teams build on-with full ownership from design through production. Ideal candidates will have robust experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, and machine learning, bringing technical expertise and a methodical problem-solving approach. Collaboration across teams at Microsoft is key, as you'll work to expand Copilot's integrations and scope, creating world-class consumer experiences in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Starting January 26, 2026, AI Experiences employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary byjurisdiction.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienceleveraginggenerative AI technologies to develop innovative and user-focused product features.

• 6+ years' experience buildingAPIs and creating pipelines for large-scale products

• 6+ years' experience building scalable services on top of public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP. Extensive use of datastores such as relational databases and key-value stores.

• Experience using Machine Learning frameworks, including experience using, deploying,andscalinglarge language models (LLMs),either personally or professionally.

• Ability toidentify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuringoptimalperformance, scalability, and user experience.

• Dedication to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on application quality, performance, and security.

• Demonstratedinterpersonal skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers.

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks, or tool-calling systems at scale, and with building evaluation and experimentation infrastructure for AI systems.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.

• Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the team.
