Systems Engineer III

We are seeking a skilledSystems EngineerIII to join our team with a primary focus on the implementation and optimization ofMicrosoft Copilot and AI-powered capabilities within Microsoft 365. TheSystems Engineer IIIis a member of the Digital Workplace Technology Collaboration Engineering team andis responsible fordelivering high quality and innovative technology solutions to the end user community.

This role willleadthe adoption, governance, and operationalization of Copilot across the enterprise, ensuring secure, compliant, and high-value use of AI technologies. The Systems Engineer III will evaluate, deploy, and manage Copilot features across Microsoft 365 workloads, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive end-user value realization. The role requires balancing strong technicalexpertisewith business acumen to maximize productivity gains and align with organizational goals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration ofMicrosoft Copilotacross M365 workloads including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams

• Collaborate with Information Security teams to define and enforcegovernance, compliance, and security frameworksfor Copilot and AI-enabled services in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

• Partner with stakeholders toidentifyand prioritizeCopilot use casesand design the technical solutions and controls todriveadoption and measurable business outcomes.

• Administer andoptimizeMicrosoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams to support Copilot readiness and sustain usage.

• Collaborate with Information Security teams to ensuredata protection, information lifecycle management, and compliance controlsare in place for AI-generated content.

• Design, build, test, and deployautomation and scripting solutionsto support Copilot deployment, monitoring, and reporting.

• Monitor service health, usage analytics, andadoptionmetrics to continuously improve Copilot experience and ROI.

• Act as a subject matter expert duringIT audits and assessments,identifyingrisks and mitigation strategies related to AI and M365 services.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by gathering user feedback and reviewing Microsoft's productreleasesincluding the Microsoft productroadmapto create a pipeline of enhancements focused on productivity, efficiency, and user experience.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to system administrators and engineers, fostering growth and accountability

GENERAL DUTIES

• Technical Support- Leads technical support and service in the installation and testing of software, patches, and upgrades to system products. Resolves complex problems and failures that occur in assigned products and technical facilities. Responsible for administration, communication, and documentation throughout technical support activities. Designs, implements, andmaintainsprocesses related to daily backup, recovery, data security, and other disaster recovery functions.

• System Testing- Coordinates testing with application support staff todeterminefunction, results, stability, performance, and resource consumption. Verifies the successful implementation of software, patches, and upgrades.Performs a variety of planning and technical activities to ensure resource availability.

• System Enhancement- Works to continuouslymonitorand improve systems, processes, and related technical infrastructure.Improves technical effectiveness by automatingtasks andutilizing programming or scripting to perform support duties.May utilize SMP/E,Iebgenr,Iebcopy, Rexx, Korn shell programming, Perl, Batch, FTP, Telnet,Netview, PowerShell, Python, Windows, Linux and AIX administrator functions, Quest, depending on the platform.

• Technical Expertise-Maintainsa strong knowledge base through ongoing research and education. Communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendor support personnel, and internal clients.Managesspecial or advanced technical projects. Provides guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced associates in the work group.

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer

Preferred Area of Experience: Microsoft 365 Including Copilot, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint Online, Purview, Windows Server.

Skills/Experience

• Experience in design and architecture of Microsoft 365 and Copilot solutions, including governance, policy definition, and licensing strategies.
• Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and information management in AI-enabled environments.
• Experience implementing Copilot readiness strategies (data access controls, labeling, permissions, and content lifecycle).
• Ability to analyze usage metrics and translate insights into actionable improvements and adoption strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and scripting skills (PowerShell, Graph API, or similar).
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and communicating complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Experience working in anAgile deliveryenvironment usingJira, Confluence or Azure DevOps
• Experience working in a Financial Services organization including familiarity with theFFIEC Architecture, Infrastructure, and Operations Bookand applyingregulatory requirementsto technology operations
