Responsibilities
ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician II to join our Waukesha team and advance in a dynamic work environment. The Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician II performs routine field testing, observation, and sampling activities in support of construction materials testing projects with limited supervision. This role is primarily field-based and is responsible for executing testing procedures, documenting results, and supporting project teams. The Field Technician II demonstrates developing technical competency and increasing independence while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values. Responsibilities
- Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete
- Executes routine construction materials testing activities with minimal supervision
- Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
- Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
- Prepares and submits accurate daily field reports documenting site conditions and test results
- Performs calculations, data reduction, and basic documentation tasks
- Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing supplies
- Assists with more complex testing activities under supervision
- Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
- Performs other field and project support duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Maintain basic certifications and one advanced certification applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
- General industry OSHA 10 may be required
- If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- General knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standards
- Basic understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations
- Proficiency with electronic devices (tablets, phones, laptops)
- Developing math and data analysis skills
- Ability to interpret construction plans and follow directions
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and clients
- Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)
- Must have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies
