Payroll Analyst


Job Summary

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate, timely processing and reconciliation of payroll and payrollrelated transactions for Noridian and affiliated entities. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; supports employee payroll inquiries; and collaborates with internal partners to maintain effective payroll operations and controls.


Essential Functions
Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Processes and reconciles employee payroll accurately and timely in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collects, reviews, and maintains payroll data throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hires, employee changes, and terminations.
  • Performs payroll adjustments for deductions, benefits, garnishments, retroactive pay, and status changes.
  • Balances payroll data prior to finalization, validates payroll reports, disburses employee payments, and prepares check or electronic payment requests.
  • Prepares payrollrelated journal entries, reconciles payroll and related accounts, and supports thirdparty billings and vendor payments.
  • Administers wage garnishments in accordance with applicable regulations and coordinates with internal and external partners to ensure proper calculation, withholding, and remittance.
  • Supports retirement and benefit payroll processes, including setup, payroll file transmission, compliance support, and related reconciliations.
  • Responds to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues within scope and escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Assists with internal and external payrollrelated audits and provide required documentation and support.
  • Maintains confidentiality of payroll and employee data and collaborates with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to support payroll operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and payroll experience, as determined by Human Resources.
  • Payroll or related experience.


Preferred Qualifications
Above requirements and the following:

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

Below is the salary range for potential new hires.

Salary Range: The pay range for this position is $25.20 - $41.45 per hour. The base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
