As an Automation Fabricator, you will contribute to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide exceptional customer experience by leading hands-on fabrication and machining activities in support of the production of automated machinery, including both standard and custom-built equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment is fabricated accurately, prepared for rental and sale, and produced in alignment with established quality, safety, and workflow standards.

At a minimum, you'll need:



  • Demonstrated experience in welding and fabrication within an automation, manufacturing, or equipment production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication prints, and mechanical layouts.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in welding, machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to other shop personnel.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.


It would be great if you also have:



  • 3+ years' experience in welding and fabrication within an automation, manufacturing, or equipment production environment
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welder.
  • Working knowledge of CNC and conventional machining operations.
  • Experience fabricating custom automation equipment or machinery.


A typical day may include:



  • Welding: Welding of product components and assemblies from prints provided by Engineering Team.
  • Fabrication: Assemble products and perform inspections of finished equipment to verify quality, functionality, and readiness
  • Machining Support: Assist with CNC and conventional machining operations. Perform machining tasks independently or with guidance as required. Support the organization and maintenance of component inventory to ensure availability and accuracy of materials.
  • Electrical Assembly, Wiring, and Testing: Perform electrical assembly and integration of control panels, and cables. Test, Inspect, and Troubleshoot, and repair products.
  • Shop Organization and Equipment Maintenance: Promote a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Assist with maintaining tools, equipment, and material handling systems and contribute recommendations for shop layout and workflow improvements.
  • On-Site Installation and Training Support: Provide occasional on-site installation and customer training support at customer locations as required

Pay information reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position based on current market data. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
