The Head Baseball Coach is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of a NCAA Division III baseball program that advances the mission of intercollegiate athletics and the University. This position must demonstrate sensitivity, knowledge and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The position includes a collateral assignment overseeing the Cougar equipment room. Please note, this position is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship. This position does not offer a STEM OPT training program. Qualifications
Essential knowledge, skills and abilities: A Master's degree, college coaching experience and/or participation at the collegiate level are preferred. Required qualifications include: excellent organization, oral and written communication skills, an appreciation for the philosophy of the NCAA Division III, strong program management skills, the ability to recruit qualified and talented student athletes, a demonstrated commitment to students' athletic and academic success, the demonstrated ability to build, motivate and retain a diverse and inclusive team with sensitivity to individuals of all cultural backgrounds, and the capacity to be a visible and engaging leader. The successful candidate will demonstrate an appreciation for the mission and value of a public liberal arts college, be self-directed and motivated, work with integrity, and bring skills and abilities needed to advance Cougar baseball, the athletic program and the university.
