About the Opportunity: Manufacturing Lead

Job Summary

The Production Lead will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily production activities of the production staff. This key position within the production team will ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Location: Eastford CT onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff
  • Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure that production processes are carried out in accordance with established safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Train and mentor production staff in the use of equipment and processes
  • Monitor and document employee attendance and performance
  • Work closely with the Planner to ensure alignment with demand and deadlines
  • Enforce company policies and procedures in a consistent and fair manner
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner

Production Lead Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of production processes and equipment
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft and other related software

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.

Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to use air and electric tools to remove metal
  • Self-starter/motivated team player

Manufacturing experience

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
