Position Overview

MannKind is seeking an Associate Director, Marketing - FUROSCIX to help translate brand strategy into disciplined, high-impact commercial execution. This role will support the development and delivery of the integrated marketing plan, create consistent and differentiated messaging across field and digital channels, and advance omnichannel initiatives that drive customer engagement and business performance.

The Associate Director will lead assigned initiatives from strategic planning through execution, partnering closely with Sales, Training, Medical Affairs, Analytics, Legal, Regulatory, and agency partners. The role will use customer insights, market intelligence, and performance analytics to optimize programs, recommend resource allocation, and adapt plans as business needs evolve.

This role reports to the Director, Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess market dynamics, competitive activity, emerging data, treatment paradigm shifts, and other external developments; recommend timely implications for brand strategy and execution.

* Develop and maintain core messaging platforms and communication tools that deliver clear, differentiated, and competitively compelling customer communications.

* Execute integrated, omnichannel tactical plans across personal promotion, digital and media, CRM, speaker programs, national congresses, and other channels that support lead generation, customer engagement, and conversion.

* Support annual brand planning, tactical planning, forecasting, and budget management; ensure assigned initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

* Partner effectively with Sales, Training, Medical Affairs, Analytics, Legal, Regulatory, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and enable strong commercial execution.

* Lead day-to-day management of agencies and vendors, including briefing, work-product quality, timelines, scope, and budget; recommend opportunities to improve effectiveness and optimize the investment mix.

* Use performance analytics, market research, customer insights, and field feedback to evaluate results, identify opportunities, and continuously refine strategies and tactics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.

* 8-10 years of progressively responsible marketing or related functional experience within the biopharmaceutical industry.

* Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into integrated marketing plans and execute complex initiatives across multiple channels.

* Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

* Working knowledge of the medical, legal, and regulatory review process for pharmaceutical promotional materials.

* Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and growing organization.

* Understanding of the clinical and commercial landscape in heart failure and chronic kidney disease is strongly preferred.

Work Environment and Travel

* This is a Burlington, MA role with a minimum of Monday - Thursday in office.

* Ability to travel up to 15%.



Pay Range: $148,000 - $222,000 per hour
