Weston Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Superintendent III to support a large-scale dormitory renovation project. This position is a contingent-to-employee opportunity responsible for overseeing all field construction activities, coordinating multiple subcontractor trades, enforcing quality standards, and ensuring successful project execution.

The Construction Manager / Site Superintendent will serve as the primary on-site leader, directing daily construction operations and working closely with the Program Manager, Project Manager, Site Engineer, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing building renovation projects and coordinating multiple trades, including demolition, framing, drywall, finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection, and specialty contractors.

Location: Kessler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi

Expected Outcomes:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of dormitory renovation and construction activities.
  • Lead day-to-day field operations and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple subcontractor trades to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project milestones.
  • Interface with client representatives, facility personnel, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and project schedules.
  • Evaluate constructability of design elements and identify potential field conflicts.
  • Conduct daily quality control inspections to verify workmanship complies with contract documents and project standards.
  • Identify deficiencies and work with subcontractors to ensure timely corrective action.
  • Assist in subcontractor procurement, bid evaluations, and project planning activities.
  • Review subcontractor schedules, manpower plans, and work sequencing.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and staging activities to support construction progress.
  • Maintain daily reports documenting labor, equipment, material utilization, and production activities.
  • Monitor project budget, productivity, and schedule performance with the Project Manager.
  • Document potential change order conditions and provide supporting information.
  • Review and verify subcontractor progress and completed work for payment approval.
  • Perform Health and Safety oversight activities and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, field logs, punch lists, inspection reports, and project documentation.
  • Manage project closeout activities, punch list execution, and turnover requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple subcontractor trades simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience supervising commercial, institutional, military, educational, hospitality, healthcare, multifamily, or dormitory renovation projects.
  • Strong quality control and quality assurance background with the ability to identify and correct workmanship deficiencies.
  • Experience coordinating demolition, framing, drywall, finishes, flooring, painting, roofing, MEP systems, and specialty trades.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, schedules, and technical documents.
  • Understanding of building codes, life-safety requirements, and industry construction standards.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and proactively resolving field issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding schedule requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, clients, and inspectors.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or phased construction schedules when required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of construction management, superintendent, or field leadership experience.
  • Experience managing large scale renovation at two buildings within Kessler AFB and overseeing construction of RFL; Contract Scope includes:
    • Building A - existing offices to be renovated to classrooms in this scope
      • Secure FAB-T classroom construction with ESS
    • Building B - Comprehensive renovation to include
      • Electronics/Telecom
      • Provide Temporary swing space using relocatable facilities (RLFs)
      • Structural upgrades, hurricane sheltering requirements, building envelope repairs
      • Roof replacement
      • Full MEP replacement (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and elevator)
      • Secure FAB-T classroom construction with ESS (ICD-705 not required)
      • Potential hazardous material abatement (ACM, LBP, mold)
      • ABA accessibility, site civil improvements, parking lot improvements
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple subcontractor trades and managing quality control programs.
  • Experience in the federal, Department of Defense (DoD), US Air-Force, or other government-funded projects preferred.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification or current 8-Hour Refresher Certification preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $95,872 - $126,819 - $157,661
