Sawnee EMC is seeking a PC Technician to review PC and network system capabilities; inspect personal computer equipment; prioritize and schedule repairs; and coordinate help desk activities. Requires an associate degree with a minimum of three years of experience in LAN/Network design, configuration, installation, and PC troubleshooting. Position is full-time; must be flexible to work irregular hours as necessary, to include evenings and weekends.Must have a thorough working knowledge of administering and maintaining the latest version of Windows Operating Systems; MS Office products; Office 365; internet configuration and technologies. Must have strong verbal documentation and customer service skills. Strong abilities performing monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of WAN/LAN infrastructure, SCCM, Power Shell, iPhone, iPad, Airwatch, MDT, Intune and KMS.
PURPOSE:
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems, modifying and improving personal computer and networking systems and provides technical assistance and training to system end-users.
- Demonstrates an awareness that the job exists to effectively serve each SEMC member, and at every opportunity to achieve increased member and public understanding for support SEMC.
DEMANDS:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a minimum of three years' experience in PC, iPhone, iPad, troubleshooting, or equivalent experience as solely determined by the Corporation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High level of competency working within a Windows Operating Systems, Office 365, MS Office Products, iPhones, iPads, A+ certification preferred.

- Must have thorough working knowledge of administering and maintaining the latest version of Windows Operating Systems, and iOS. Must have thorough working knowledge of MS Office products; Internet configuration and technologies; Internet based email systems.

- Must have strong working knowledge of the latest version of Microsoft Windows, Firewalls.
- Strong working abilities performing monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of, SCCM, Power Shell, iPhone, iPad, , Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, Rapid7, Apple Business Manger, , Intune and KMS.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, or members of the business community.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to communicate well with all departments of the corporation, as well as members of the corporation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Studies existing information processing systems and confers with personnel to review PC and network system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to evaluate effectiveness and determine if systems meet current and projected needs.
- Inspects personal computer equipment and assists in development of order sheet listing user requirements.
- Assess, prioritizes, coordinates and schedules repairs, enhancements, and system improvements.
- Assist with Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Review and maintain software library.
- Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user's premises.
- Loads software packages into computers.
- Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation.
- Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
- Coordinate and provide technical and backup procedure training, and instruct users in use of equipment, software, and manuals.
- Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems.
- Coordinates activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups.
- Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager, problem request tracking system, and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
- Replace defective or inadequate software packages.
- Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.

- Maintains current knowledge on advances and changes in occupational field, SEMC policies, programs, and services, and in the electric utility industry in general.
- Continue to expand knowledge and capability within job and organization through the independent pursuit of self-study courses and outside course offerings.
- Reliably and accurately performs the duties of the position with little direct supervision.

- This position reports directly to the Information Services Coordinator
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Internal Communication: This position's internal customers consist of all SEMC employees and assigned contract workers.
- External Communication: This position's external customers include all SEMC members, the public, as well as vendors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The position includes general office conditions with frequent external meetings with employees and the public. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
