Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Estimated hourly base pay: $29.81 - $43.27

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Calibrations: Executes precise calibration of various instruments using established protocols to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot Equipment Issues: Diagnoses and resolves complex instrumentation problems, providing effective solutions for atypical or infrequent issues.

  • Develop Calibration Procedures: Assists in creating and refining calibration methodologies and technical processes for new and existing assignments.

  • Provide Technical Support: Acts as an informal resource by offering expert guidance and training to team members with less experience.

  • Maintain Calibration Records: Ensures accurate documentation of all calibration activities, adhering to quality and compliance standards.

Key Skills:

  • Calibration Expertise: Mastery of calibration techniques and standards for various instrumentation equipment.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to measurement instruments.

  • Precision Measurement: Skilled in performing accurate measurements using advanced instrumentation tools.

  • Technical Documentation: Ability to maintain comprehensive and detailed records of calibration procedures and results.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Expertise in the maintenance and servicing of calibration and measurement devices.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring all calibration activities comply with established quality standards and protocols.

  • Team Collaboration: Effective in coordinating with team members and related departments to achieve calibration objectives.

  • Advanced Problem Solving: Capable of developing solutions for atypical or infrequent calibration challenges based on existing guidelines.

  • Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members as an informal resource.

  • Technical Communication: Proficient in explaining complex technical information clearly to team members and other departments.

  • Temperature Metrology
    (Ovens, vacuum chambers, furnaces, freezers, Thermocouples, RTDs, Thermistors, Dry blocks, Temperature baths, Controllers, Data loggers)

  • Pressure Metrology
    (Pressure gages, Transducers, Pressure controllers, Deadweight testers, Vacuum gauges)

  • Physical
    (Torque, Force, Mass, Weight, Tension, Compression, Hardness, Spring testing)

  • Electrical Metrology
    (AC,DC Voltage, Current, Resistance, Capacitance, Inductance, Frequency, Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Power supplies, Function generators, Process calibrators, HYPOT)

  • Time and Frequency
    (Frequency counters, Oscillators, Stopwatches, Timers, Tachometers)

  • Humidity and Environmental
    (Hygrometers, Environmental chambers, Barometric pressure)

  • Flow Metrology - Liquid and Gas
    (Flow meters, Rotameters, Mass flow controllers, Gas flow devices)

  • Optical/Photonics
    (Interferometers, Zygo systems, Laser measurement equipment, Optical comparators, Vision measurement systems)

  • Traceability

  • Measurement uncertainty, TUR, Guard-banding

Quality Systems:

  • ISO 17025 awareness
