The Role and Team

Medallia is seeking a motivated and organized Field Marketing Manager to support the development and execution of marketing events and programs that help our sales teams build relationships, engage customers and prospects, and drive pipeline.

In this role, you will partner closely with Sales and the broader Marketing organization to plan and execute regional marketing programs, including events and other demand generation activities. You'll help translate business priorities into effective marketing programs and ensure programs are executed seamlessly from planning through follow-up.

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and collaborator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and building trusted relationships with sales and cross-functional partners. This person should be hands-on, detail-oriented, and excited about creating experiences that deliver meaningful impact for the business.

Candidates based in the Tysons vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to understand regional priorities, target accounts, and business objectives and translate them into effective field marketing programs.
  • Plan and execute a variety of field marketing events, including customer and prospect dinners, sponsorships at industry events, VIP events, etc.
  • Manage event execution from planning through post-event follow-up, including timelines, vendors, logistics, communications, attendee engagement, and reporting.
  • Work with Sales to drive attendance and engagement among target customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation, Content, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, Creative, and other marketing teams to extend and amplify field programs.
  • Support campaign and event communications, including invitations, registration campaigns, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up.
  • Track program performance and use data to identify opportunities to improve engagement, pipeline impact, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate program information and activity in Salesforce and other marketing systems.
  • Manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Identify opportunities to improve field marketing processes, programs, and the customer experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, demand generation, or a related B2B marketing role.
  • Experience planning and executing marketing programs, events, or campaigns in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Sales and cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM/marketing system.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-30% for events and other marketing initiatives, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an enterprise SaaS or technology environment.
  • Experience supporting regional or field marketing programs.
  • Familiarity with Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience working with event technology and registration platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in using data to measure and improve marketing programs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where priorities can evolve.
  • Highly proactive, resourceful, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $147,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
