SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing plans and tactics for assigned business units. The development of these plans requires thorough knowledge of the functional areas involved, the competitive environment and leading marketing practices to the target market. Integration with the corporate marketing strategy is essential to ensuring a unified voice is delivered both internally and externally. Works directly with senior leadership of the assigned business units to understand business goals, situational opportunities and priorities in order to provide guidance and timely support for business unit initiatives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • North Shore Bank's Position Descriptions are intended to describe only the major functions of the job. You may be expected to perform other duties specified by your manager. Everyone is expected to contribute whatever efforts necessary to operate efficiently and effectively to insure the success of the Bank.
  • Develop and implement effective annual marketing plans that directly support the annual goals of assigned business units.
  • Manage marketing activities in the daily execution of marketing programs/campaigns; direct response/digital initiatives, thought leadership initiatives, and other go-to-market strategies. This includes working with internal operations, marketing agencies, design and copywriting freelancers, direct mail vendors, coordinating production development, supplies, printing and program implementation.
  • Responsible for internal communication of all executed strategies.
  • Facilitate and oversee the tracking, analysis and reporting of executed strategies to the marketing team and senior leadership within the business unit.Ensure channel messaging aligns with corporate messaging for assigned business units.
  • Leads branch grand opening marketing programs, working with Marketing Team, Retail Leadership and supporting vendors to develop grand opening strategies tailored to the market (special offers, events, advertising, etc.).
  • Responsible for branch merchandising strategy for offices and ATMs/ITMs (indoor and outdoor signage, disclosures, etc.).
  • All of the above responsibilities are to be delivered and executed on time, and within predefined budget.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Requires a minimum of five years' experience with marketing of bank/financial products and/or a combination of several years of general marketing and bank/financial product marketing experience.


OTHER QUALIFCATIONS:
Excellent customer relations and communication skills are critical, whether dealing with external customers, internal branch/department staff or vendors. Extreme attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy are mandatory given the volume of materials that will be reviewed, proofread and produced. Analytical, problem solving and basic math skills are also important. Ability to handle multiple projects with adjusting priorities and deadlines. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
