Quality Assurance Specialist

This individual works closely with internal personnel, during audit situations with customer and third-party auditors, and with calibration service providers. This person will manage and resolve technical issues in limited scope related to EMFCO's Quality System with a strong understanding of associated Business Processes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage Internal Audit plan and coordinate with other departments to ensure audits are completed on time. Prepare and Schedule Internal Auditor Training.
  • Provide leadership to other QA Administrative team members; coordinate and prioritize tasks within the QA Administrative area. Ensure initial training and cross-training of essential Quality Administrative functions is completed for QA staff.
  • Understand how EMFCO's Quality System interacts with other Business Processes, such as Inventory Control, Accounting, Purchasing, Marketing, etc. Ensure processes support downstream needs from internal and external customers.
  • Interface with Customer and Third Party Audit Personnel to perform and support audits.
  • Update and review Quality System documentation. Work with company personnel to ensure written quality system meets EMFCO Business goals and Customer requirements.
  • Ensure MRB Nonconforming material is processed in compliance with Customer and EMFCO Business Process requirements.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation to ensure Customer Purchase Order Requirements are met.
  • Generate purchase orders for miscellaneous items and coordinate calibration with vendors.
  • Able to perform all other QA Administrative functions to provide back-up support as needed.
  • Review Quality System and Business Processes for compliance to expectations; recognize issues and opportunities for improvement; Identify and propose solutions for potential or existing problems within scope of job function.

Minimum Qualifications

  • This is a non-supervisory position, requiring a Bachelor's degree or having equivalent knowledge and experience.

  • Fully successful in performing QA Administrator 2 responsibilities and functions.

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Attention to details and accuracy are position critical.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions in a team environment is required.

  • Computer skills and knowledge are a pre-requisite.

  • Pay Range: $20.94/hr to $34.89/hr
