Position Summary

RSM's Financial Investigations & Dispute Advisory Services (FIDS) practice is seeking a Manager to help lead and expand our Forensic Data Analytics & Technology capability. This role is ideal for a professional with a combination of forensic accounting, investigations, litigation support, data analytics, and technology experience who is passionate about using advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business, regulatory, and legal challenges.

The Manager will lead engagements involving forensic investigations, fraud examinations, litigation support, regulatory matters, compliance reviews, forensic technology, eDiscovery, and large-scale data analytics. They will work collaboratively with attorneys, corporate legal departments, audit committees, boards of directors, compliance functions, regulators, and executive management to analyze complex data sets, identify key facts and trends, and develop defensible conclusions.

In addition to traditional forensic and investigative work, this role will help drive RSM's broader development and adoption of AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, advanced data engineering solutions, and emerging forensic technologies.

Responsibilities

Engagement Delivery

  • Lead forensic accounting, investigative, regulatory, and litigation support engagements.
  • Direct teams performing data-driven investigations involving fraud, misconduct, corruption, financial irregularities, asset tracing, and compliance matters.
  • Develop and oversee large-scale data analytics programs involving structured and unstructured data from ERP platforms, financial systems, HR systems, communications platforms, and external sources.
  • Design and execute analytics used to identify anomalies, relationships, trends, control failures, and indicators of fraud or misconduct.
  • Support expert witness and litigation engagements through complex damages analyses, data modeling, evidence evaluation, document review, and fact development.

Data Analytics & Technology Leadership

  • Build and maintain advanced forensic analytics utilizing technologies such as:
    • Alteryx
    • SQL
    • Databricks
    • Python
    • Power BI
    • Tableau
    • Azure-based analytics platforms
  • Develop repeatable analytics solutions, accelerators, and automation tools to enhance engagement efficiency and consistency.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI tools to improve investigative workflows, document review, and data analysis.
  • Assist in the development of next-generation forensic technology capabilities and AI-enabled service offerings.

eDiscovery & Forensic Technology

  • Manage matters involving significant volumes of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Liaise with internal and external digital forensics professionals to support with legal counsel and clients with document preservation, collection, processing, review, and analysis activities.
  • Utilize leading eDiscovery technologies, including platforms such as Relativity, Epiq, Reveal, Everlaw, Nuix, Microsoft Purview, or similar solutions.
  • Collaborate with digital forensic, cyber, and legal technology professionals on complex matters involving electronic evidence.

Client & Team Leadership

  • Serve as primary day-to-day client contact across multiple engagements.
  • Manage engagement economics, budgets, staffing, timelines, and deliverable quality.
  • Coach and develop supervisors, senior associates, and associates.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and performance management activities.
  • Contribute to proposal development, thought leadership, conference presentations, and business development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in forensic accounting, investigations, dispute advisory, eDiscovery, forensic technology, data analytics, or related consulting services.
  • CPA, CFE, CFF, CIRA, CEDS, EnCE, GCFA, or similar credentials.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project teams and client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Advanced proficiency with one or more of:
    • Alteryx
    • SQL
    • Databricks
    • Python
    • Power BI
  • Experience applying analytical solutions to investigations, fraud detection, compliance monitoring, litigation support, or regulatory matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with eDiscovery technologies including Relativity, Epiq, Everlaw, Nuix, Reveal, Purview, or similar platforms.
  • Experience utilizing AI, generative AI, machine learning, or natural language processing tools in consulting, investigative, legal, or compliance environments.
  • Experience with cloud analytics environments including Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS.
  • Experience supporting law firms, legal counsel, government agencies, regulatory bodies, or corporate investigations.
  • Experience developing or utilizing automated analytics solutions, fraud monitoring programs, or forensic technology workflows.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $94,400 - $178,800

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
